The Purpose of the Apprenticeship
Nate and Noah are being sent by Mannahouse Church to Salem Christian Center as Missionary Apprentices. This apprenticeship will provide the opportunity for Nate and Noah to learn under the tutelage of Pastors Ted and Mona Ciuciui in an international ministry context. In addition to their ministry objectives, Nate and Noah will spend time studying and building a context for Romanian language, history, culture, religion, and day-to-day living, both leading up to and during their time in Romania.

Ministry Objectives
In partnering with Salem Christian Center, there will be three primary focuses of the Missionary Apprenticeship. These objectives will serve as the primary emphases of the apprenticeship, giving Nate and Noah the ability to develop in an international ministry context while serving Salem Christian Center and the community of Oradea.
The first and primary objective will be to help build a sustainable youth ministry and culture at Salem Christian Center. Salem Christian Center has seen much success within its youth ministry in the past but has experienced tumultuous leadership transitions in this ministry in the past several years. Ted and Mona have specifically requested the expertise of Portland Bible College graduates in this specific arena, and given the fact that Nate and Noah have both been involved in youth ministry for several years and have graduated from Portland Bible College with Bachelor’s degrees, this will be a perfect fit!
The second objective will involve beginning an apartment outreach in the church apartments in which Nate and Noah will be housed. Nate and Noah will have the incredible opportunity to share the Gospel with the students, refugees, and other residents living next door to them through community get-togethers, Bible studies, and other similar events.
Finally, Nate and Noah will be available as auxiliary support on service days and will be prepared to assist with any projects or events that Salem Christian Center will be involved in. In preliminary talks with Pastor Ted, some of these could include landscaping and groundskeeping, coaching youth sports, running sound and A/V for services, assisting with youth conferences, and other such events and projects.
