Nate and Noah together in their apartment in Vancouver, Washington. Nate and Noah have been roommates since August of 2022, and their friendship has only grown since they first met at Portland Bible College in the Fall of 2019.

Hello! Thanks for dropping in! Whether you’re becoming familiar with us or have known us for a long time, we wanted to make some space to share a little bit about ourselves and our backgrounds!

Nate and Noah met at Portland Bible College as they pursued Bachelor’s Degrees in Theology. During their time at PBC, they would both realize the call of God on their life to missions and separately began pursuing missions opportunities with Mannahouse. Once they graduated, they became roommates, living in Vancouver, Washington, with a mutual friend from PBC. Nate and Noah would soon find themselves partnered with Mannahouse to be officially sent together as Missionary Apprentices to Salem Christian Center in Oradea, Romania (see the post on Oradea to learn more about the city as well as Salem Christian Center). The two have become fast friends and are approaching this new adventure with excitement and anticipation as they explore the call of God on their lives and look to join in the work of the Lord that is already taking place in Romania.

From Nate:

Hey there! I’m Nathan Lorenc, and I am absolutely stoked to be heading to Romania in September! I am currently an English and Bible Teacher at Mannahouse Christian Academy in Portland, Oregon. I grew up learning about missionaries like Jim Elliot, Brother Andrew, and Eric Liddel, and ever since I was young, I knew that I wanted to be involved in missions! My first mission experience came in high school when my family partnered with Haiti Arise to make multiple trips down to Haiti ranging from a week and a half to two months. These experiences helped lead me to Portland Bible College to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, where I hoped to pursue a future as a missionary once I graduated. I am so excited that God has opened the doors to begin a missions apprenticeship in Romania, and I am excited to see how He will be moving and speaking in the next year!

From Noah:

Hello! My name is Noah Reynolds. Since I was young I knew God had incredible plans for me to be used to give Him Glory through serving the local church and to be a witness to the world. I was born and raised in the East Bay in California. Throughout high school, I was involved in short-term missionary work in Ensenada, Mexico, building tiny houses with a team for the poor residents of that community. After a two-year internship, God called me to Portland, Oregon to attend Portland Bible College: a ministry of Mannahouse Church in 2019. During my time at PBC, my life was transformed by the friends and professors that I was surrounded by. I had come to realize, over time, that I am truly “Made for More”. I have also been and am currently a dedicated member of the Production team at our Rocky Butte campus as well as a leader in our youth group. I then graduated from PBC with a Bachelor’s in Theology in the spring of 2022 and now I am excited to be preparing for this great season that lies ahead.
